College Students Support Violence to Silence Conservative Speakers

It’s a subculture within the academia that believes a set of premises which have transformed young people into violently intolerant, haughty, inchoate, and petty tyrants. It’s been in the making since the early 1960s, possibly even longer, and today it has culminated into a scenario where the most privileged people in America are ready to fill their hands and go to war — literally — against people who view the world slightly differently.

It sounds as if we’re talking about a particularly virulent faction of the Ku Klux Klan, but in truth, it is the western college student who has become the foremost representative of violence and hatred in America.

In recent years we have seen case after case where a so-called ‘hate crime’ is committed, a church burned, swastikas scrawled a public space, and then we find out that it was done by left-leaning agitators looking to incriminate their perceived political enemies.

We remember the photos of people wearing Klan robes and holding Trump signs — images so shocking that we didn’t notice until the next day that their naked hands holding those signs revealed the fact that they were African American. We remember the hijab pulling incident, which the police later discovered was a self-inflicted assault meant to criminalize conservatives and whites.

Since then, in instances numbering in the dozens, when conservative speakers, journalists, writers, philosophers with right-leaning ideas attempted to appear on college campuses to give speeches to paying audiences, attendants were flogged and maced by masked thugs. We’ve seen mainstream Hollywood stars get up on stage and call for violence against so-called ‘Nazis.’ There has been a very successful social engineering campaign to label everyone whose beliefs are right of center as a Nazi.

It would be easy to say that this is just a manifestation of a moral panic born from radical leftists realizing that America isn’t going to take their name-calling anymore, that we are no longer interested in being accused of harboring secret prejudice when we know that we don’t. But we have seen the evidence of artificial influences from the outside. We’ve seen Craigslist ads calling for paid protesters to disrupt Trump rallies, to assault lecture-goers — and we’ve seen groups that shouldn’t be booked on the same buses to these events- booked on the same buses to these events.

There is a fire burning in this country, and it is being stoked by globalist interests.

The fire we’re speaking of was thrown into sharp relief recently by a survey published by the Brookings Institute. It found that one out of every five undergraduate college students in the United States believes that it is acceptable to use violence to silence controversial speakers.

To be clear, this was not an algorithmic questionnaire designed to detect a hidden tendency toward using violence to silence speech. It was a straightforward survey where they asked unambiguously whether or not respondents would approve the use of violence against people like Ben Shapiro. That is to say, that someone with a clipboard went around college campuses and had the following conversation with nearly four million students;

Researcher: “Hello, do you think it’s okay to hit Ann Coulter over the head with a bike lock?”

College Student 1-in-5: “Yep, that seems alright to me.”

To be fair, the question was worded more soberly than that, but the meaning was the same. What’s shocking is that 3.6 million college students in American are in favor of using violence against people whose chief product is rhetoric.

These students have been raised in an academic culture that has increasingly characterized speech as violence. Academia has worked very hard to produce these students, and they have unleashed them on a public that simply wants to be left alone, by and large, to live their lives and care for their families. It is these 1-in-5 students who are responding to the Craigslist ads for political agitators, some of whom are masquerading as right-wing groups just to make sure the story comes off in the desired way when the local news crew arrives.

This is why Donald Trump has floated the idea of depriving colleges of public funding if they continue to strangle conservative voices on campus. In the face of growing political violence in our institutions of higher learning, we find that idea to be as appropriate as it is non-violent.
