Democrats Already Trying To Repeal Your Tax Cuts

Radical Democratic leadership has made it abundantly clear they plan to repeal the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Should the left regain the majority in Congress come November, everyday Americans can kiss that extra money in their paychecks goodbye.

Thinking about that larger refund next year? Hasta la vista.

Businesses giving valued workers bonuses thanks to the corporate tax cuts? See you later.

Doubled child tax credit? LOL.

Not only has the Democratic Party’s leadership shouted down hard-working Americans keeping more of the own money, one anxious liberal has already introduced legislation to take away your tax cuts.

Colorado Democrat Fires First Shot At Tax Cuts

In a recent tweet, Pres. Donald J. Trump thanked Democratic Rep. Jared Polis for introducing what the Colorado liberals call the “Students Over Special Interests Act.”

The legislation effectively repeals the historic Tax Cuts and Jobs Acts enacted almost exclusively by Congressional Republicans and signed into law by Pres. Trump. What else could the president do but thank Rep. Polis?

In one legislative filing, Polis showed that the seemingly idle threats made by top-ranking Democrats such as Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are quite real. The left is willing to go beyond “resist” and “obstruct” rhetoric and Washington, D.C., gridlock. Democrats are actually willing to take money out of struggling families’ pockets.

“The Republican tax plan was all about special interests cashing in at the expense of everyone else,” Rep. Polis reportedly wrote in a statement. “My plan shows what a difference we can make for middle-class Americans for even less cost. So many people go to school, get a job, and work hard but still struggle to get ahead because they are weighted down by student loans. It’s time to help them get out from the mountain of debt they are under.”

If Rep. Polis gets his way, all of the business and working family tax credits and reductions would disappear. The government would take that money and wipe away student loans for approximately 43 million borrowers. But the underlying thinking behind Polis’ bill benefits one special interest group, the highly educated.

His legislation would help make well-off doctors, lawyers, architects, engineers, celebrities and other highly educated people even wealthier. Granted, many college graduates put in an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay. But the liberal Democrat leaves behind blue-collar Americans such as miners, construction workers, truck drivers, landscapers, waitresses, cooks, and basically anyone who didn’t go to college.

Polis basically plans to hand boatloads of taxpayer money to 43 million people who are enjoying the long-term benefits of a college education. In his view, the other 85 million adults who work with their hands don’t matter. They would pay for other people’s college degrees. Ex-Pres. Obama used to refer to this as redistributing wealth.

Democrats Plan To Take Away Popular Tax Reductions

U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has visions she will hold the political reins come November, and ending all things Trump tops her priority list. The far-left California liberal has proudly gone on the record claiming that Democrats will immediately repeal the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Spinning off the GOP’s ObamaCare rallying cry, she plans to “replace and repeal” the law that put money in people’s pockets. Although not a single Democrat voted for the law, this reflects how popular some of the components remain.

  • 84 percent of Americans favor the lower middle-class tax brackets.
  • 82 percent like the doubling of the child tax credit.
  • 81 percent favor how the law doubled the standard deduction.
  • 77 percent like the 23-percent “pass through” small business deduction.
  • 74 percent favor the mortgage interest tax limits.
  • 63 percent favor eliminating the mandated ObamaCare tax penalty.
  • Despite the tax law’s popularity, and upwards of 80 million Americans keeping more of their money, Pelosi has every intention of moving against hard-working Americans.

While the idea of higher unemployment, higher taxes and less competitive wages may seem scary for average working families, the possibility of the Democrats winning in November looks less and less likely. As the “commander-in-tweet” aptly posted:

“A Democratic lawmaker just introduced a bill to Repeal the GOP Tax Cuts (no chance). This is too good to be true for Republicans…Remember, the Nancy Pelosi Dems are also weak on Crime, the Border and want to be gentle and kind to MS-13 gang members…not good!”

It appears the impetuous Colorado lawmaker has shown the Democrats’ hand. So much for the mythic “Blue Wave.” Americans cannot afford to vote Democrat under the current leadership.
