Biden Broke CNN’s “Social Distancing Rule” When He Thought the Cameras Were Off

Former Vice President Joe Biden and CNN host Anderson Cooper made a huge show of “social distancing” from each other on stage last week, telling their audience they were standing apart from each other to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Then, as soon as the cameras appeared to go off for a commercial break, Cooper and the former VP cozied up to each other, with the latter leaning over and whispering something in Anderson Cooper’s ear.

Naturally, neither of the men were wearing masks even though the event took place in a state that mandates that masks must be worn at all times outside the home.

Biden’s actions are bizarre as he has been hiding in his basement for the last few months to “prevent the spread of COVID-19.” He and his handlers continually give the impression that the VP is “following science” by avoiding large crowds, even as others point out that Biden’s actions may have more to do with the fact that he’s a walking gaffe machine.

The fact that the former VP clearly sees no need to pretend that he cares about the novel coronavirus once he’s not being filmed is alarming. In just about every one of his campaign ads, there is a point to portray both him and running mate Kamala Harris in masks at all times — even when they are standing far apart from other people. Face masks have become a symbolic rallying cry for the pro-lockdown left. Apparently, that’s all for show.

Biden isn’t the only Democrat who flouts basic COVID-19-related health guidelines at will. House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi was recently caught at a hair salon without a mask, even though hair salons are forcibly closed in California. Democrat politicians from around the nation packed into a church to celebrate late Rep. John Lewis’ life at a Georgia church while they shut down congregations across the United States. Washington DC Mayor Democrat Muriel Bowser didn’t require the funeral attendees to stick to a mandatory 14-day quarantine, even though other travelers from Georgia were subjected to a mandatory quarantine period. The reason given for the double standard was that politicians’ travel counted as “government activity.”

Why did Biden immediately violate social distancing guidelines when he thought he could get away with it? It’s hard to come up with a good reason, especially considering the fact that the person who is blatantly violating basic COVID-19 guidelines is the same person who claims to “follow science” on the matter.
