Dems Unleash Last-Ditch Effort to Smear Brett Kavanaugh

Democrats vowed to oppose the elevation of judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court even before his nomination was put forth by Pres. Donald J. Trump.

So, it should come as no surprise that the left has made a disgraceful spectacle of the once-revered judicial hearings. Last ditch efforts to derail judge Kavanagh’s confirmation to the court are doomed to failure. Republican simply have the votes. Despite this reality, high-ranking Democrats have leveled the most obvious and troubling attacks on the eminently qualified federal judge.

Feinstein Swings Low

Democrats were expected to issue an 11th-hour delay to send Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Senate floor for a vote. It’s a procedural tool used to obstruct, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he would oppose Pres. Trump’s nominee with “everything I’ve got.” He has made good on that promise and more.

In the final moments of the hearings, California Sen. Dianne Feinstein attempted to upend the process by declaring she was in possession of damaging information about Judge Kavanaugh. She appears to be implying the devoted Christian, father, husband and community member who works diligently to help the homeless may have committed a very serious crime back in high school.

“I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court,” Sen. Feinstein reportedly said. “That individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further, and I have honored that decision. I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities.”

Feinstein’s muck-raking appears to be centered on sexual misconduct. This tactic has become commonplace among Democrats when trying to assail the character of good people they disagree with politically. Reports have surfaced that the senator has been in possession of the information since mid-summer, and chose to keep it secret until springing it during the final hours of the hearings.

Sen. Feinstein, the same lawmaker who unknowingly hired a communist Chinese spy to chauffeur her around, has been under siege by her own party, and this seems like an obvious attempt to redeem herself with the radical California liberal base. In the recent California primaries, the long-standing incumbent was passed over by the state’s Democratic Party. Being seen as not left-wing enough, the party endorsed another candidate in the primary. Progressive extremists are also trying to coerce moderate Democrats to oppose Kavanaugh by creating GoFundMe campaigns to raise money to be used against them.

“Throughout his confirmation process, Judge Kavanaugh has had 65 meetings with senators — including with Senator Feinstein — sat through over 30 hours of testimony, addressed over 2,000 questions in a public setting and additional questions in a confidential session,” White House spokesperson Kerri Kupec reportedly said in response. “Not until the eve of his confirmation has Sen. Feinstein or anyone raised the specter of new ‘information’ about him.”

The West Coast senator’s move mirrors that of the fake news media who repeatedly claim “anonymous” sources when no credible evidence exists. Her pushing the claim over to the partisan FBI stands as an obvious resist and obstruct technique to claim the Senate cannot vote on Kavanaugh. An FBI investigation could take years. Republicans plan to move forward, ignoring the baseless and disgraceful character assassination attempt.

“At this time, he has not seen the letter in question, and is respecting the request for confidentiality. There’s no plan to change the committee’s consideration of Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination,” a spokesperson for Sen. Grassley said.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, said that the group would vote on Sept. 20 as planned.

Democrats Disgust Sitting Justices

If the left expected support from liberal justices on the current U.S. Supreme Court, they are sadly mistaken. Even far-left Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has criticized the attacks on judge Kavanaugh.

Recalling her confirmation hearings as “highly bipartisan” despite being considered one of the most liberal jurists ever nominated to the high court, Ginsburg appears appalled by the viciousness of Democrats.

“The vote on my confirmation was 96-3, even though I had spent about 10 years of my life litigating cases under the auspices of the ACLU,” Ginsburg Reportedly said. “No senator asked me any questions — not about that.”

“Think of Justice Scalia, who’s certainly a known character in, what was it? 1986,” she reportedly said. “The vote was unanimous, every Democrat and every Republican voted for him. That’s the way it should be, instead of what it’s become, which is a highly partisan show.”

Justice Clarence Thomas recently criticized Sen. Cory Booker for his “I am Spartacus” antics during the Kavanaugh hearings.

“Honorable — if we could use that word about more people who are in public life, people who actually ask the questions at confirmation hearings, instead of ‘Spartacus,’” Justice Thomas reportedly said.

Regardless of Democrats despicable last-minute attempts to throw mud at honorable judge Kavanagh, Republicans are expected to confirm his nomination with a party-line vote before the end of September.
