Hillary Clinton Makes an Appeal Over Her Email Scandal

Last week, arguments were heard by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals concerned with Hillary Clinton’s conflict over an in-person deposition ordered by a judge at the request of Judicial Watch.

Judges and lawyers involved in the hearing purposefully did not mention the name of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, showing that the Justice Dept has made an across the board decision to follow through with the dropping of his prosecution. This is a good sign. It shows that there is an abiding understanding in the Justice Deptartment that Flynn’s prosecution was flawed, unfair, and likely politically motivated.

The arguments heard on Tuesday went on for over 90 minutes. Two judges used this time to drive home the point that mandamus has already been granted and that therefore, Clinton would not have an easy time.

Mandamus is a legal mechanism defined as an order for a government body or public agency to perform an act required by law in instances where it has neglected or refused to do so.

In short, it means Clinton has at least one fewer “Get out of Jail Free” cards in her hand.

Ramona Cotca, a Judicial Watch attorney, accused Clinton and her former aide Cheryl Mills of attempting to avoid the proper legal process by using mandamus. Mandamus is, according to Cotca, “the most potent weapon in the judicial arsenal.”

Clinton’s attorney responded with a standard liberal objection, calling these inquiries into her past crimes “harassment.”

But tactics like these are losing steam in government, in the legal system, and the public perception. What we are seeing here is the reversal of politically motivated prosecutions by the Left against undeserving parties, of which Michael Flynn is just one of many. While at the same time unfair protections enjoyed by the darlings of the Democrat party who are demonstrably guilty of high crimes are being stripped away.

The Trump Administration has empowered the DOJ to drop the boom on many criminal activities over its first term. Today, we are beginning to see the ripples of justice begin to rattle the head of the snake.

One of the most important things we’ve learned as a nation over the last four years is that there is a two-tiered system of justice. We’ve seen ordinary people convicted and have their lives destroyed over things that people like Clinton are guilty of many times over and on a much higher level.

What this tells you unequivocally is that there are either powerful interests who will protect people like Mrs. Clinton, or that she and people like her have the power to protect themselves. If the latter is true, then it can only logically follow that she has power and privilege that are hidden from the public which defies the imagination.

But the good news is that while our government is infested with bad actors, there are good actors as well. There are still officials pushing for justice for the high crimes of people like Hillary Clinton.
