Hillary Clinton Suggests That Bernie Sanders is a “Russian Asset”

Given the fact that former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is still fuming over her 2016 loss to President Donald Trump, it’s not surprising that she’s lashing out at anyone who she considers to be responsible for her failure.

This time, her target is Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is once again running a serious campaign to win the Democrat presidential nomination. In a recent interview, Clinton made it clear that she believes Sen. Sanders is possibly a Russian asset, and that the Kremlin would be happy to see him as President of the United States. In fact, she told interviewer Howard Stern that the Russians said, “let’s do everything we can to elect Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders” before going on to complain that Sen. Sanders “hurt her.”

Given the fact that Clinton has been whining almost incessantly since she lost, it’s not hard to dismiss her grudges against people she doesn’t like as utter rubbish. Unfortunately, most mainstream media outlets are extremely interested in hearing her convoluted opinions, and taking them seriously.

When the former Secretary of State told reporters a few months ago that Democrat Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was being “groomed by the Russians” in order to help President Trump win a second term, the news made national headlines. The only grounds for the verbal assault was that Rep. Gabbard, like Sen. Sanders, is staunchly anti-war, preferring to focus on a foreign policy she says puts Americans first. Sound familiar?

It’s also worth noting that Clinton’s interview makes it clear that she, along with other senior Democrats in the DNC, is fiercely against Sen. Sanders. As Mrs. Clinton told Howard Stern, “I hope he doesn’t do it again to whoever gets the nomination.”

The statement is an odd one considering the fact that Sen. Sanders stands a very good chance of becoming the Democratic nominee. Most recent polls put Sen. Sanders in second place behind former Vice-President Joe Biden, while Sen. Elizabeth Warren lags behind. One would think Clinton would support someone who would beat her former opponent. However, Clinton is known for putting her own personal grudges above whatever her political priorities are.

There are plenty of negative things that can be said about the current field of Democrat candidates for the presidency. However, the idea that any one of them is a “Russian asset” is patently absurd. Sadly, most mainstream news outlets are in bed with the Democratic Party, and so are hesitant to call out the former Secretary of State for defaming someone who went against her wishes.

The truth of the matter is that neither Sen. Sanders nor Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is on a mission to destroy the United States in order to benefit the Russian government. Rather, both candidates have simply dared to speak against Clinton’s ideas. Sanders dared to cross Hillary Clinton at a time she thought she was invincible.

After all of these years, Hillary Clinton still thinks she’s in charge of the Democratic Party. Perhaps she’s right…
