Liberal Harvard U Busted For Racial Discrimination

Ivy League liberals won’t be able to have it both ways when it comes to racism much longer as the Trump Administration backs a lawsuit by Asian-Americans over Harvard University’s blatant discrimination.

While the left-leaning institution has staunchly implemented bias against whites who apply for admission, the lawsuit details a claim that the Cambridge, Massachusetts, school demonstrates an even greater degree of animus against people of Asian descent. The recently-filed allegations could usher in the beginning of the end for racially-biased practices by liberal colleges and universities.

“Harvard admits that, on average, it scores Asian-American applicants lower on the personal rating than white applicants. Yet when an internal Harvard report pointed out that the personal rating may be infused with racial bias and sought authorization to study the issue further, Harvard buried it,” the Department of Justice asserts in its court-filed “statement of interest” backing the Asian-American lawsuit against Harvard University.

“The record evidence demonstrates that Harvard’s race-based admissions process significantly disadvantages Asian-American applicants compared to applicants of other racial groups — including both white applicants and applicants from other racial minority groups,” the DOJ filing adds.

The civil lawsuit brought by Students For Fair Admissions on behalf of Asian-Americans who may have been adversely effected by Harvard’s race-based admissions policies is widely being touted as one with enough force of law to reach the U.S. Supreme Court.

The organization has already brought suit against other universities for such institutionalized discrimination. The group contends that Harvard and other liberal universities have wrongfully implemented affirmative action policies as a way to cull white Americans and others from their ranks. Harvard lawyers are asking that the suit be dismissed, citing the group’s previous failures.

“Harvard does not discriminate against applicants from any group, and will continue to vigorously defend the legal right of every college and university to consider race as one factor among many in college admissions, which the Supreme Court has consistently upheld for more than 40 years,” Harvard University’s statement reportedly says.

Liberals may be on unsure footing this time around. The data supporting this case highlights a level of subjective bias not seen in others.

Past incidents of discrimination have largely focused on hamstringing white applicants in favor of minorities. The Harvard practice shows a tier system that also favors certain minority applicants over others. That’s why U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has brought the full force of the Department of Justice to “protect the civil rights of the American people.”

“No American should be denied admission to school because of their race,” Sessions reportedly said. “As a recipient of taxpayer dollars, Harvard has a responsibility to conduct its admissions policy without racial discrimination by using meaningful admissions criteria that meet lawful requirements.… The admissions policies at our colleges and universities are important and must be conducted lawfully.”

Under Pres. Donald J. Trump, the DOJ has taken an almost exact opposite approach than Obama. Under the previous administration, the DOJ backed institutions that gave preferential treatment to one group over another. Left-wing zealots ardently oppose the Trump Administration’s position.

“This is a Justice Department that has fully abandoned its mission and is now waging an all-out assault on efforts to promote diversity,” Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law director Kristen Clarke reportedly said.

However, the student group stands in lock-step with the Trump Administration against racial injustice.

“Students for Fair Admissions is gratified that, after careful analysis of the evidence submitted in this case, the U.S. Department of Justice has concluded Harvard’s admissions policies are in violation of our nation’s civil rights laws,” organization president Edward Blum reportedly said.

The issue has become a lightning rod among Asian-Americans. Chinese-Americans polled have indicated a sharp decline in support for the practice. According to reports, 78 percent of Chinese-Americans backed race-based admissions in 2012. That numbered plummeted to only 41 percent by 2016.

On the West Coast, California’s roll back of affirmative action admissions in favor of outreach has been met with mixed results. Reports point to a slightly lower Asian-American admission rate overall. However, the U.C. Berkeley’s freshman rate has upticked to 40.5 percent.

Universities such as Harvard have apparently been attempting to cherry pick the race of their student bodies, which runs contrary to affirmative action in the first place. It could all end soon.
