MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Masters Art of Epic Fail and TV Fiction

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow has been the most-watched leader of the resistance as she spoon-fed liberals a Russian Collusion crime thriller that ensured a climactic ending with President Donald Trump in handcuffs, Democrats taking control of the country, and all would be right with the world. The only problem is that Rachel Maddow — or at least the nondescript, gender-neutral character she plays on television — has once again been humiliated by yet another epic fail.

“We are also starting to see what may be signs of continuing influence in our country,” Maddow said to lure liberals into her delusion in 2017. “Basically signs of what could be a continuing operation.”

The Mueller Report that Maddow insisted would land the entire Trump clan in the slammer completely exonerated the First Family and their associates. This wasn’t the ending audiences of MSNBC’s two-year cliffhanger expected, or appreciated.

During the rollout to the impending presidential impeachment, Maddow’s ratings soared. In early January, The Rachel Maddow Show was the most-watched cable “news” program, outpacing even Tucker Carlson and Hannity on Fox. She garnered 3.29 million viewers for the better part of the month, setting a new record for the cable network. So confident were the powers-that-be at MSNBC in Maddow’s fictional narrative that they claimed a rating victory for the first quarter before it expired. President Trump’s big league win on the Mueller Report sent the liberal media outlet into and overnight tailspin.

“Wow, ratings for ‘Morning Joe,’ which were really bad in the first place, just ‘tanked’ with the release of the Mueller Report,” Trump tweeted. “Likewise, other shows on MSNBC and CNN have gone down by as much as 50%. Just shows, Fake News never wins!”

The true believers who tuned in every night fell disillusioned when the Mueller findings came out. Liberal heads exploded — again — and snowflakes had to retreat to their “safe spaces” — again. Maddow’s rating plummeted in the waning days of the first quarter. The Rachel Maddow Show went over the rating cliff to the tune of a 13-percent drop, and 500,000 viewers stopped watching once the report was released. Trump’s win caused a massive surge at Fox News. Hannity ultimately took the top spot, much to the chagrin of Maddow cult followers and MSNBC executives.

“Look at the so-called competition in cable news — and start with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow,” Sean Hannity said. “Her audience has been sold one conspiracy theory, night after night after night. A lie, night after night after night. For 22 months. She has profited from these lies to her audience on a spectacular level.”

For obvious reasons, CNN’s already low-rated cable network shows didn’t take as dramatic a hit. The obvious reason being that most Americans already understood CNN was merely fake news anyway. It’s not like the Mueller Report was going the other way impacted their credibility.

But Maddow’s cunning storytelling made it seem as if she were in possession of insider knowledge. In reality, she’s just a wonderful monologuist and master of the epic fail. The Mueller Report debacle is hardly her first. It just happens to be the one she sustained the longest.

Back in 2017, Maddow also tantalized audiences by claiming she had secured a copy of the much sought after Trump tax returns. MSNBC teased the curiosity of everyday people. The prevailing narrative among liberals extremists — Maddow’s main following — was that she would expose President Trump once and for all. Many left-leaning zealots were led to believe that her publishing of the 2005 return would demonstrate Russian collusion, open the Trump family up to fraud, money laundering, and other indictments. Most notably, it would prove he was a tax evader.

Unfortunately, the illegally released document confirmed what voters already knew. President Trump is insanely rich, earning upwards of $150 million that year. But the epic fail was that he paid $38 million in taxes, which was far more out-of-pocket cash than most Americans could ever imagine paying to the government.

Up until that point, Geraldo Rivera was saddled with perhaps the biggest epic news fail in history — the empty Al Capone vault. Maddow has now managed to top that embarrassment twice. Move over world, Maddow is now the all-time master of the epic fail.
