New York City Schools Create Plan to Openly Discriminate Against Whites

Far-left liberals in New York City have created a plan that, if left untouched, would actively discriminate against all white students based solely on the color of their skin. Teachers and other school employees who oppose the plan would also suffer for their refusal to focus solely on race when attempting to provide children with a high-quality education.

The trouble began when New York City’s Department of Education hired “diversity experts”, paying them nearly $1 million to give “implicit bias” workshops throughout the city. The content of the workshops is nothing short of appalling as so-called experts blatantly told teachers that educators need to pay more attention to black and brown students than white ones. Educators were even told that poor white students didn’t deserve as much help as middle or upper-class black students, because white students will somehow receive more help overall in the future.

A Jewish superintendent was openly mocked when sharing personal experiences from the Holocaust that led her to fight for equity in the public education system. According to first-hand accounts, she was blatantly told that the conversation was only meant to be about black and brown people, not white ones. Given this fact, it’s not hard to see why teachers in the city are looking for ways to get out of attending “implicit bias” training sessions because they don’t feel safe in these settings.

One teacher, whose children attend public schools in New York City, has gone so far as to say that the new training sessions are a catalyst for hate and division. Unfortunately, not everyone understands that discriminating against people because of their skin color is wrong. Some educators and parents are embracing the plan, stating that disruption to the status quo is good and that those who oppose the diversity training need to “look inward harder.”

Not surprisingly, the new training workshops are making matters worse not just for white students and their parents who are being punished for the color of their skin, but also Department of Education workers who are dedicating their lives to serving the children who attend public school in the city. Four women who work with the city’s Department of Education were demoted, apparently just for being white, and are not planning to sue New York City for racial discrimination.

A lawsuit of this nature would be headline news if the teachers happened to work at a Christian school. However, since the setting involves far-left educators discriminating against women, the mainstream news media is silent on the matter. These women may not be the only ones who wind up having to take legal action against New York in order to avoid being demoted or fired unfairly. Darnisa Amante, one of the consultants hired by NYC to provide diversity training, has made it clear that those who currently work in the Department of Education shouldn’t take their jobs for granted.

It is odd that that far left continually accuses conservatives of discrimination, but then turns around and shows itself to be far more discriminatory than anyone else. While it is certainly important for racial minorities to receive a high-quality education, such an education should be given to every single student regardless of skin color, gender, or racial background.

New York City has a serious school overcrowding problem that has made it impossible for many students to even sit down in the classroom while studying. Many schools in the have an average math and English test scores are well under 10%. However, such pressing problems don’t seem to concern many of NYC Department of Education members who somehow seem to feel that race is the most important issue to address in the school system.

To make matters worse, many of the people they are hiring to address this problem have the sole goal of “disrupting the system” and are failing to offer a clear plan for helping children learn basic subjects.
