Republicans and Democrats Now Represent Two DIFFERENT Americas

The headline-grabbing Democrats who are effectively calling their party’s shots talk about the struggles of working Americans. They propose seemingly socialist policies such as Medicare for All they claim would level the playing field on healthcare. But what Democrats are not telling voters is that their policies would not improve the lives of everyday people. They pump up their liberal donors’ bank accounts.

Research indicates that Democrats — not Republicans — represent the country’s wealthiest districts. And that data supports why so many middle-class and low-income voters support President Donald Trump, and are backing Republicans heading into the 2020 elections.

According to research published by the Wall Street Journal and others, a culture shift occurred in 2008 when Democrats saw a surge in voter support moving from low- to high-income districts. Based on data compiled from 2008 to 2018, districts that have a GDP output of more than $60 billion have trended substantially toward Democrats. As of 2018, only a single high-wealth district above $55 billion could be considered in the GOP column. Meanwhile, Democrats have consistently garnered high GDP areas, including nine above $90 billion. This data explains why so many working Americans fully support President Trump, and are swelling his and the GOP’s 2020 campaign coffers.

The historic Tax Cuts and Jobs Act ushered in by Republicans has formed the foundation of an economic surge that continues to benefit workers, jobs, and increased wages. According to reports based on the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, jobs previously considered “low-wage” are growing by approximately 4 percent.

“Even if employment growth slows as labor supply constraints start to bind, this should be partially offset by the continued firming of wages, particularly among lower-income workers with higher marginal propensities to consume,” Goldman Sachs economist David Choi said.

During the previous administration, these often manual labor occupations had been stagnant against the rising cost of living at only 2.5 percent in 2016. Wage growth hit a 20-year low during the Obama years when it dipped below 1 percent. By contrast, the Trump economy’s 4-percent growth marks a more than 20-year high.

“In fact, wage growth continues to be strongest for workers in lower-wage industries,” economist Nick Bunker stated about the trend.

Many attribute the improved opportunities of low-income families to historic low unemployment and a tight labor market in which companies are now competing for workers. The other side of the coin is that the Trump Administration continues to tamp down illegal immigrants who undercut American citizens in the jobs market.

“I want people to come into our country in the largest numbers ever, but they have to come in legally,” Trump famously said. “Working-class Americans are left to pay the price for mass illegal immigration: reduced jobs, lower wages, overburdened schools, hospitals that are so crowded you can’t get in, increased crime, and a depleted social safety net.”

Although Democrats and the left-leaning media say the president’s claim that illegal immigrants are siphoning off the jobs of U.S. citizens is false, a reported 8 million illegals are reportedly working in the U.S. And, many work off the books at cut-rates in jobs unscrupulous employers would have to pay citizens a fair wage.

And the difference between conservative and liberal America can be seen on the streets of Democrat strongholds such as San Francisco. The median cost of homeownership in San Francisco runs more than $1.3 million. That’s an eye-raising figure considering the national average home price is approximately $231,000.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi currently represents fourth-fifths of San Francisco, and her open borders, and pro-illegal immigration positions definitively undercut hourly wage earners. The cost of living in San Francisco is reportedly 700 times higher than the national average, and the city is suffering one of the worst homelessness epidemics in history.

But the tragedies of Democrat communities aside, liberal policies are designed to support their billionaire donors. Illegal immigrants are a cheap source of labor and a profitable alternative to paying U.S. citizens a living wage. Many of the Democratic Party’s mega-donors are in sectors that produce goods in countries such as China. The trade wars leveled by the president are forcing them to bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. and pay decent wages. The America First policies are causing rich liberals huge headaches.
