Right-Wing Media Has Evolved, and the Left Can’t Catch Up

Liberals would have you believe that they are winning the war of words with conservatives, but the truth is that conservative media is expanding under the Trump administration.

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brezinski found out just how much power conservative media holds after refusing to apologize for disrespectful comments made about President Donald Trump.
Morning Joe namesake Joe Scarborough and cohost Mika Brezinski claim to be political centrists, with Scarborough actually having served in Congress as a Republican. However, they have been the lead show on MSNBC for a number of years, airing five days a week in the perfect time slot to attract the majority of America’s professionals before they head out the door to work.

In short, MSNBC is using Scarborough’s cover as a Republican to feign a centrist viewpoint, while putting forth a liberal agenda through the mouth of Brezinski and a cadre of liberal sycophants who cleanly show up on the show’s panel.

Recently, the hosts went over the line when criticizing Trump. Their comments became more personal than professional when Brezinski suggested the First Family was experiencing marital trouble, and they also blasted the president for keeping them out of the loop of happenings in the White House.

The criticism was hopelessly flawed, as Trump had made a priority of showing up on the Morning Joe show by phone many times even if he could not make it into the studio for an interview. The truth is that the show has a long-standing relationship with Trump that far predates his candidacy for the presidency.

Joe Scarborough, Mika Brezinski and liberal media pawns of their ilk have always tried to bully conservative politicians through the majority they hold over the airwaves. Fox News is truly the only conservative outlet of any size left on network television – everywhere else is a haven for liberal propaganda. Nowhere is this more obvious than MSNBC. It is unfortunate for the two freewheeling hosts that Donald Trump is not the type to take this kind of bullying laying down.

Both Scarborough and Brezinski were informed that if they did not apologize for the comments made about President Trump, they would soon find their own shortcomings on the public chopping block. Apparently, the two hosts believed that they would be able to weather the storm. They were wrong.

Trump has cultivated relationships in media that rival those of Scarborough and Brezinski. Before long, there were stories everywhere about Mika’s botched plastic surgery, embarrassing her and the show. Scarborough was not as quick to defend her as he normally is, as he probably remembered a few indiscretions of his own that might find their way into print.

Scarborough and Brezinski are doing everything they can to save face at this point. Instead of simply admitting they were wrong to attack a duly elected president, they are crying foul and playing victim.

The truth is that Fox News is no longer the only haven for conservative voices. It may be the only right-of-center organization on cable news, but that’s not where the new generation of conservative Americans are getting informed.

Conservative and libertarian pundits have embraced the “new media” – platforms such as YouTube, Soundcloud, and others – as a way to present their arguments without being beholden to advertisers. Programs such as Rebel Media, Louder with Crowder, InfoWars, and Freedomain Radio speak freely, often enjoying income through crowdfunding or subscriptions rather than through advertisers. By using this approach, liberal boycotts will mean absolutely nothing.

The irony here is that it is usually the opposition media that gets the spike during any administration, but Trump has lit a fire under conservatives who get their news from Breitbart, Fox News, AM radio – and of course, the new media.
Brezinski, Scarborough, and the rest of the so-called “legacy media” are seeing the end of an era – and they completely deserve it.
