The Real Democratic Legacy of Racism

The tide has turned. Emerging facts demonstrate that Pres. Donald J. Trump and the GOP have the backs of all Americans. Democrats, on the other hand, have a long, tainted history of racist policies that held African-Americans and other minorities down.

Democrats face a reckoning as Pres. Trump and the GOP have turned around the economy and improved the economic opportunities for Black and Latino citizens.

It wasn’t long ago that CNN political analyst April Ryan made a desperately irresponsible tweet that misled Americans to believe the White House was engaged in child trafficking. The basis of the tweet was from an extreme-left politically active magazine called “The Root.” The piece was meant to be over-the-top, but the fake news star took the opportunity to throw shade with the racy headline.

The Root, a sometimes-controversial media outlet, tends to focus on news and opinions from what is considered an ‘African-American’ point of view. Ryan won’t be tweeting out the organization’s recent headlines because The Root — like Kanye West, Dennis Rodman and other prominent black American voices — sees Democrats for what they are and have always been, racists.

Democrats Are No Friend To African-Americans

The Root writer Michael Harriot likens Democrats to Judas in his article called “The Democratic Party Is Not Our Friend.” He quotes Matthew 26:14-16, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you? And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.”

In his owns words, Mr. Harriot has this to say about Democrat leaders.

“Maybe you can still feel the wetness of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s lips from when he kissed you on your cheek before selling you out. Maybe you can hear the coins jingling in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s pockets. If you can’t, it’s probably because you are so accustomed to the sound and feeling of being sold out by the same people you are willing to fight for, you’ve grown numb to the feeling,” Harriot writes.

“It feels like the slave crying on the auction block because he assumed that he was part of Massa’s family . . . It feels like canvassing for President Bill Clinton and then hearing his wife call you a ‘superpredator,’” he states.

In May, Pres. Trump’s support among black men reportedly doubled. Many are attributing that increase to the ardent support of Kanye West and others. Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was seen sporting a MAGA hat after the North Korea peace summit, and the president posthumously pardoned Jack Johnson — the first African-American heavyweight boxing champion of the world.

But, the star-studded headlines tell only part of the story.

Other leading voices, such as Larry Elder, are pointing to the immediate facts about the MAGA agenda and how African-Americans are enjoying tremendous opportunity. As Elder points out, African-American and Hispanic unemployment stand at the lowest in recorded history.

The president’s pro-school voucher program would provide the highest benefit for inner city families, many are Black and Latino. Yet, Democrats have opposed this and every policy put forward by the president and Republicans. That just adds to their legacy of minority oppression.

Democrats Were Southern Slave Owners

The liberally-biased fake news perpetuates a false narrative that somehow conservatives and Republicans are racist. In reality, the opposite holds true.

The inconvenient truth about the Democratic Party is that its formative members were ardent Southern slave owners, and fought the Civil War to maintain the racist and oppressive system. Pres. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican that could not tolerate slavery, and was willing to tear a nation apart to stop it.

In the aftermath of the Civil War, Democrats enacted “Jim Crow” laws, founded the Klu Klux Klan, imposed segregation and fought against the Civil Rights Movement.

Democrat Imposed Japanese Internment Camps

Star Trek star George Takei, who played Sulu, has been an outspoken gay, Japanese-American liberal. He routinely refers to being imprisoned in an internment camp as a child during World War II. He made such statements recently about the child-parent separation immigration issue that Pres. Trump just ended after 22 years.

By what the liberal extremist fails to mention is that the racist policy that created the Japanese Internment Camps was ordered by Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt, a Democrat.

Bill Clinton Signed Child Separation Policy Into Law

After 22 years of an inhumane law that separates children from their parents entering the country illegally, the fake news media would like everyday Americans to believe this was the doing of Pres. Trump. Nothing could be further from the truth.

In reality, the president’s recent executive order alters the implementation of the federal law that started the protocol. In 1996, ex-Pres. Bill Clinton signed the “Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act” into law. That was the beginning of the hardline practice and four presidents — Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump — have implemented that federal law the same way.

Like slavery, it was a Democrat who started it and a Republican who ended the practice.

The Democratic Party has caused immeasurable suffering to American minorities, particularly African-Americans. That’s their legacy, and it continues today with programs and policies that take opportunity away from these hard-working Americans.

Consider Mr. Harriot’s sentiments in his The Root article.

“So here we are again, left out in the cold while the Democratic Party gets warm and cozy behind the artifice of solidarity and equality. They are tricksters. They will sit at the table of our last supper and break bread with us, knowing that they have already conspired with the enemy planning our crucifixion. We know they are going to betray us, but we are always surprised when the cock crows.”
