Trump: Far-Left Congresswomen Need to Apologize to America

President Donald Trump on Sunday renewed his attacks on the four far-left newcomer Democratic congresswomen who have criticized his policies, saying they need to apologize as he himself faced charges of racism.

“I don’t believe the four Congresswomen are capable of loving our Country. They should apologize to America (and Israel) for the horrible (hateful) things they have said. They are destroying the Democrat Party but are weak & insecure people who can never destroy our great Nation!” Trump said in a social media post.

Trump fueled the fire for more controversy last weekend when he posted on his Twitter account that the four freshmen lawmakers should “go back” to where they came from if they do not like the United States.

The four first-term congresswomen, known as “the squad,” have been highly critical and outspoken since their election. Not only do they continuously criticize Trump’s every move and word, but they have also challenged Pelosi and the Democratic leadership and have issues with Israel’s government as well. Minnesota’s Rep. Ilhan Omar went as far as to suggest that Americans only support Israel out of a “dual loyalty.” Ayanna Pressley just recently said that minorities interested in running for Congress shouldn’t unless they want to be “black voices” — suggesting that they should only seek office if they are also leftists.

Of the four congresswomen, three were born in the U.S. – U.S. Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, while Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota is a naturalized citizen who came to the U.S. as a refugee from Somalia.

Elijah Cummings, the Democratic chairman of the House of Representatives Oversight Committee, criticized Trump’s words to the congresswomen said he had “no doubt” that Trump was a racist.

“These are folks and women who love their country and they work very hard and they want to move us towards that more perfect union that our founding fathers talked about,” Cummings said on ABC’s This Week.

Last Tuesday, the Democratic-led House of Representatives passed a resolution indicating that the House “strongly condemns President Donald Trump’s racist comments,” in an attempt to shame Trump and his Republican supporters.

As per his typical demeanor, Trump ignored the Democrats actions and accusations and instead continued his critique of the freshmen “squad”, especially Omar, during a rally in North Carolina last Wednesday night, pausing when the crowd began to chant “Send her back.”

Some fellow Republicans indicated that they were not fans of the language used by the president, and while Trump announced that he did not necessarily agree with the chants of the people, he did, however, defend the North Carolina crowd as “incredible patriots.”

Trump has repeatedly accused Democrats of backing policies that he and Republicans in Congress portray as “socialist” that are completely out of line with the values and beliefs of much of the citizens in the U.S.

Trump’s top immigration adviser, Stephen Miller, backs the president and said that he has made it perfectly clear that he disagreed with the “send her back” chants at the NC convention.

“The core issue is that all the people in that audience and millions of patriotic Americans all across this country are tired of being beat up, condescended to, looked down upon, talked down to by members of Congress on the left in Washington, D.C., and their allies in many quarters of the media,” he told “Fox News Sunday.”

Whether or not Trump’s statements were well-put is not even the question anymore. With Omar, AOC, Tlaib, and Pressley continually disparaging all things American, more and more Americans are beginning to see past the controversial parts of Trump’s statements. Since this social media feud began, Trump has seen his approval ratings rise. Favorability for “the squad” continues to plummet. And now, they are the face of the Democratic Party.

Perhaps this is what Trump was trying to accomplish all along…
