Trump Fires Back, Calls Obama’s Economy a “Con Job”

Former President Barack Obama’s attempts to revitalize the economy were pathetic at best, and possibly disingenuous. Recall his response to President Donald Trump’s promise to revitalize the economy during the 2016 election.

Trump said he was going to negotiate better deals for the country and bring back jobs. Obama’s response was, “Well, how exactly are you going to do that? What exactly are you going to do? There’s no answer to it. What magic wand do you have? And usually, the answer is, [Trump] doesn’t have an answer.”

But Trump did have an answer. His answer was to remove regulations that make it too expensive to employ Americans on American soil. The moment Trump won the election — on that very night when he was confirmed the victor — companies started moving their manufacturing operations back to the United States.

It was a clear signal that Trump knew what it would take to bring back jobs and did it without hesitation. But it was much more than that. It showed clearly that the formula for creating jobs is not a mystery. It showed that the Obama administration — and every administration before his that claimed to try to create jobs and pretended to fail — was lying.

That is why the entrenched powers fear and loathe him. It’s because he does what they won’t and what they pretend cannot be done. Donald Trump has broken their con, and their only recourse is to smear him.

Ever since Trump’s promises to turn the economy around started to bear fruit, Obama has been trying to take the credit. It’s funny because Obama said bringing back jobs was impossible, and then took credit when it happened.

You can’t have it both ways, 44.

These claims have been more or less constant since November of 2016. Until now, Trump hasn’t had much to say about it. After all, Obama is mostly irrelevant. But the economy is still improving, and even Democrat voters are taking notice. Obama had to say something.

“Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history,” Obama tweeted.

Of course, Trump wasn’t going to take this sitting down.

“Did you hear the latest con job? President Obama is now trying to take credit for the Economic Boom taking place under the Trump Administration. He had the WEAKEST recovery since the Great Depression, despite Zero Fed Rate & MASSIVE quantitative easing. NOW, best jobs numbers.…

“….ever. Had to rebuild our military, which was totally depleted. Fed Rate UP, taxes and regulations WAY DOWN. If Dems won in 2016, the USA would be in big economic (Depression?) & military trouble right now. THE BEST IS YET TO COME. KEEP AMERICA GREAT!”

Trump has erased every failed policy of the Obama administration. From the authoritarian ACA, which coerced Americans to buy healthcare insurance whether they could afford it or not, to Obama’s anemic economy — Donald Trump has fixed it all. With a record like that, we don’t mind if he abuses the “Caps Lock” button when tweeting.
