The former vice president has garnered plenty of unseemly nicknames, and his sudden policy shift to the radical left won’t likely earn him a new one. That’s largely because the unscrupulous “say anything” politician’s character can be summed up with the moniker “Sleazy Joe Biden.”
Biden earned that telling nickname because he unwelcomely gropes and hair-sniffs women — and girls — and was outed for unparalleled corruption that put hundreds of millions in his family members’ pockets during his stint in the White House. After a bruising Democratic primary that was scuttled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Biden has thrown off the “moderate” ruse that scammed primary voters. These days, he’s open arms to joining the socialists and climate cultists of the party.
“I have asked my campaign to commence a process to meaningfully engage with more voices from the climate movement — including environmental justice leaders and worker organizations, and collaborate on additional policies in areas ranging from environmental justice to new, concrete goals we can achieve within a decade, to more investments in a clean energy economy,” Biden said after garnering an endorsement from the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund.
During the run-up to the 2008 election, the former VP tried to scam West Virginia voters into supporting the Obama-Biden ticket claiming, “Barack and I believe clean coal is part of our energy future.” Nothing could have been further from the truth.
With the radical element driving the Democratic Party, he seems comfortable courting the likes of New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC). His recent pivot away from moderate politics has him endorsing well-known AOC and Bernie Sanders freebies, such as wiping out all student loan debt.
The presumptive Democratic nominee also advocated for members of his party to hold struggling Americans hostage with the COVID-19 stimulus packages in lockstep with AOC’s demands.
“We’re going to have an opportunity, I believe, in the next round (of stimulus) here to use…my Green Deal to be able to generate both economic growth as consistent with the kind of infusion of monies we need into the system to keep it going,” Sleazy Joe reportedly said via livestream while hiding from the virus. “We’re going to need new infrastructure going down the road here, and it’s a way to generate economic growth. That’s going to be, I think, the next round we have to be looking at.”
Everyday Americans may recall that AOC and Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey floated Green New Deal legislation in 2019. After Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called for a floor vote, not a single Democrat voted in favor of the measure.
The recent radical left-wing shift begs the question of whether this is another “say anything” moment by Biden to keep young Bernie supporters and the fringe element of the liberal party engaged. Given President Donald Trump revitalized the economy, rewrote trade deals such as NAFTA, and roundly beat China in a tariff war, it’s difficult to imagine moderate, low-income, or middle-class families voting for change.
Under Biden and former President Barack Obama’s leadership, the country suffered double-digit unemployment, the rise of ISIS, and saw the U.S. supplanted by China as the number one economy. Biden will need to court the communists and climate cult extremists to have any shot in November. Everyday Americans may want to consider who he would owe.
